Peaceful Valley Ranch Sold PoniesAll the ponies we have offered for sale had been trained (or "re-trained") at the ranch. We work with the pony's natural abilities, using natural horsemanship. So look through this section to get a better idea of what our ponies can do. Also, remember that ponies are live animals and can react differently when placed in a new environment. We really try to match ponies and families, but, please, be patient and give your new friend time to adjust. And do not worry: he, or she, will remember what they have learned!
Grade miniature mare PtHA eligible Foaled 2000 37" 
 Taffy is now living a wonderful life in Boerne, TX, with her new little owner, Gianna, 2 years old. Taffy is an adorable little miniature mare trained to be a toddler's first mount. She is well behaved on a leadline and a lunge. She also rides independently (in a snaffle bit) walk/trot and even canter if your little one is daring enough. She is friendly and has excellent ground manners allowing little children to be all around, over, and under her! She is not lazy and goes easily when asked. Due to her small size, she would be better suited for children 50 lbs and under.
Foaled 2000 37" 
 Sparky joined Landon (4 years old) on their ranch in Killeen, TX. Sparky is a very fun stout miniature horse, with a big personality and a big heart. He has been in training with us since last December, after a rough start in Illinois. He likes life as a ranch pony and goes along well with other horses and ponies. He likes children and is very patient with them. He has excellent ground manners and will stand still as long as needed to have his long mane braided, or a bath. He is a very safe pony on the ground and under saddle, and is not spooky. We trained him as a leadline, leading rein and trail pony, and he likes it. He is also trained to ride walk/trot independently, and he will do it only if he really has to! He would do great with a child looking for a friend to play with, take care of by him or herself, lead around, and go ride on the trails.

 Snickers is now residing in Georgetown, TX, with his new 3 year old owner, Kalea. Snickers was our first foal born at the ranch, so he has been raised with children since Day 1. Snickers is a friendly, very easy going pony who likes attention and has excellent ground manners. Any child can lead him around. He has been trained as an all-around English child's first pony. He walks/trots/canters and jumps under saddle (and on a lunge), but is very lazy when it comes to riding independently. So we retrained him as an all-around young child's show pony and he is doing great. He is a wonderful leadline/leading rein pony, adapting his speed to the handler. He responds well to the bit if his little rider wants to take over. But he definitely needs a crop if he will be used as an independent riding pony. He loves trails and is not spooky. His dam, Sadie, is one of our best confidence builder club pony. Snickers would really do well as a leadline pony for a young child up to 55 lbs.

 V-Max went to Santa Fe, TX to team up with Taylor, 9.years old. Good luck to both of you in the pinto shows! V-Max is a sweet and pretty pinto pony with a lot of miles on him. He has been in training with us since last December; He was used as a western arena pony by his prior owner. We have retrained him as an all-around pony (walk/trot/canter and basic jumping in and out of the arena), but he can be a little fast.. He is a good pony without any buck in him who needs a rider who can hold the reins. He has never outrun his bit (snaffle) and always stopped when asked. He is a forward moving pony, a fantastic trail pony (not too fast on the trail, and does not tire easily), but a fast pony in the arena, great for games. He has been ridden English for the last 8 months and responds very well. Children 8-12 years old love to ride him as he moves out and steers perfectly. He has excellent ground manners and likes attention. He lunges well on the left side, but is a little harder on the right side, probably because his former teenage owner used to rope on him. He is a very nice pony who likes to be ridden and please. He can accommodate riders up to 120lbs.

 Kibbles is a real sweetie. He never gets tired of children washing, brushing, or braiding his mane and tail. Having being trained English, bareback and hunter, he is a very good starter sport pony. However, because of his small size and built, he would only be appropriate for a "petite" child between 5 and 7 years old, under 55 lbs. Kibbles has perfect ground manners and can teach your child the basic of English riding as well as jumping over small fences. He is also trained to respond on voice command, liberty, lunge, and for in hand events like obstacles and jumping. He loves going on trails and can keep up with bigger ponies or horses if necessary. Kibbles is fun to ride (as his little riders claim), because he goes. And is not lazy! Of course, he is up to date on shots, farrier work, and de-worming. Loving attention, he is just waiting for that special child! Kibbles is now living in Orange, TX with his new owner, Cassidy., 7 years old.

 Banjo is a wonderful all-around toddler or small child pony. He can do it all. He loves toddlers and is very patient with them. He is also a nice sport pony for young children to learn to canter and jump on. He loves going on trails, or to the shows and behaves very nicely even in unfamiliar places. He also drives very quietly. He has outstanding ground manners and is not spooky at all. Banjo is well suited for young children up to 55lbs. Banjo is now residing in New Ipsiwich, NH, with Daisy, 4 years old.
