Please note that our Weekend adventures are reserved for children 6 years old and over, less than 70lbs.
We are now offering a true ranch experience for young aspiring cowboys and cowgirls. They will arrive between 4 and 6 pm on Friday, and leave Saturday at 6 pm. Their weekend will be filled with ranch activities like feeding, brushing, and training the ponies as well as riding, driving and playing mounted games. Each young guest will be assigned a specific pony and will be responsible for him/her during the stay. Depending on the season, Friday evening, after pony chores, can be spent doing crafts, baking chocolate treats, reading, or watching pony stories, or maybe going to a rodeo. The young campers will be housed in beautiful heated/air conditioned rooms. Boys and girls are housed in separate houses (unless the parents request siblings to stay together)
We need a minimum of 4 and have a maximum of 6 children for this program.
Beginner riders welcome.
Cost: $80/camper
And for those who are not quite ready for an overnight stay? We offer a fun Saturday at the ranch. The riders arrive around 9 am, just in time for morning ranch chores like feeding and brushing the ponies and llamas, as well as cleaning up the barn. When the work is done, it is time to ride in the arena, or the round pen (depending on the rider's ability). Next, lunch and pony training (the children really enjoy teaching young ponies new tricks), before going on a long trail ride, with snack by the river. By then it will be time to feed all the ponies again and put them up for the night. Pick up time: 6:00pm
Minimum 4 and maximum 8 children.
Beginner riders welcome.
Cost: $50/rider
We will have a few work days throughout the year: Tack Clean up Day, Barn and Stable Spring Clean up Day, Pony Health Day (measuring, weighing, and vaccinations), Sheep and Llama Shearing Day, Young Pony Training Day, Show Prep Day and more as the needs arise. No riding on those days, but plenty of time for some good ranch fun.
Don't forget your lunch!
Register at the stable on the bulletin board.
You can register your child(ren) by e-mail (preferably), or phone. You may reserve a weekend, or a Saturday only if you have a group of 4 children or more. We sometimes have 1 or 2 children waiting for 2 more to create a group, so don't hesitate to contact us.
Please note that we do not organize birthday parties.
We are asking, for safety reasons, that all non-participating children or adults (except designated helpers) leave the premises after dropping off their campers. Thank you.
