We offer group lessons for intermediate riders. Before joining one of our group lessons, the rider must be able to control his/her pony at the walk and trot, stop and be able to complete a short pattern off the lunge. Our lessons include one hour riding, as well as 30 minutes learning about ponies and their care.

For the beginners, as well as for those who would like to work on specific points, we offer private or semi-private lessons.

Our show team members will also be required to attend a minimum of 2 "in hand" classes a month to get themselves and their ponies ready for shows. Non-show team members are welcome to attend if space is available. We will be working on showmanship, halter classes, as well as hunter, jumper and obstacles in hand. This is a very fun way to spend time with ponies even if not a rider.

Pee Wee Program

Toddlers and preschoolers receive a gentle introduction to ponies and their care. One hour classes include 30 minutes of grooming and getting to know their pony, and a 30 minute riding session accompanied by music. Miniatures horses and small Shetlands are used for this program, and are led at all times. Musical games and activities allow children to relax and develop balance and confidence while riding their ponies. We also go on mini-trail rides, up and down hills, and over bridges. Our youngest riders love it!

We are also looking for Pee-Wees to join our show team and have fun in the leadline, leading rein (walk/trot on a line) and costume classes at our shows.

Junior Riders' Program

This year we will be offering a new program for the young riders who graduated from our Pee-Wee classes, or are between 5 and 7 years old. They will start riding independently while perfecting their seat. We will offer private and semi-private lessons for riding, but also group lessons once a month so they can all have fun playing games and getting to know each other. For those interested in showing, our junior show team is very active and loves practicing obstacles in hand, or under saddle. Come join us!

Fees: Same as general program.

Group Sessions: First Monday of each month: 4-6 p.m. (required for Jumior Show Team members).

Jumping team

If you ask several of our intermediate riders, Jumping is one of the most exciting activities to do with a pony! And I can only agree! Our young riders are just starting to learn, but never want to stop. Their technique is improving fast, as well as their confidence. We do have a few excellent jumping ponies, ranging in sizes from 35" to 48". As soon as the riders and their ponies gain more confidence and practice in the arena, we will be starting eventing around the ranch.

We will add new jumping pictures as they become available, so you can follow everybody's progress.
